Our daughter received this as a Christmas gift and she absolutely loves it! She is 5 and loves the fact that she can write with a flashlight. The designs fade away after a few minutes allowing her to create more, and it helps her to work on her writing skills as well.

We are very pleased with this item, and have had fun with it ourselves too. We have been able to spend some great family evenings learning about glow-in-the-dark, how it works, and why God provided it for us.

This is pretty cool, but I wish there was a little more to it.

Yes, it does need to be very dark – but then, the kids think it is cool to sit in the closet… that actually might be its biggest allure.

The kids ask to do it all the time, but there are only 2 phosphorescent sheets. So, it takes them all of 3 minutes per sheet to draw a picture, and then you need to wait for the glow to disappear before you can draw more… so, it is a short lived thing.

Thought this product was cool based on the pictures and description, but when I got it it was pretty bad. My daughter lost interest very quick as you really couldn’t see the designs unless you were in the complete dark but then you can’t see what you are doing. Don’t waste money on this one.

I purchased this game for my 12 year old son for Christmas. Since he has no siblings, I am usually his oppponent for all games. This game was challenging for both of us, used strategy as well as luck, moved quickly enough that we stayed interested, and was easy to start playing without having to read a huge amount of rules and instructions. I think it helps with math skills, too, but isn’t so difficult that younger players wouldn’t enjoy it also. I also like how it stores all pieces into its plastic frame to keep all of the game pieces together. It also has some ideas on how to play a solitare game if you can’t find someone to play with. Altogether a great game.

I purchased the set for my 11 year old daughter. The garnets in one of the samples was most impressive. No the samples are not huge but for a child starting a collection, this is the way to go. It gives them a chance to identify the minerals or rocks and to label them on their own. She enjoyed this the most and she has shown off her rocks to family and friends. The case is not for displaying the minerals but as a geology major in college, I can say the prices are reasonable for the products. I know some of the samples alone would cost more then $16 if the samples were larger then they are. The sizes are around 1 inch for each peice in the sample my daughter recieved.

I just received these mineral & rock collections, and I cannot say that I’m impressed. I bought the “Geosafari” Mineral Collection ($16), Sedimentary Rock Collection ($16), Igneous Rock Collection ($16) and the Metamorphic Rock collection ($16). The inner trays are a flimsy plastic; not really suitable for displaying. In addition, the rock and mineral samples are soooo tiny, almost like pebbles. That was really disappointing. I would not recommend these for purchase. Amazon should consider finding a more complete selection presented in quality displays with samples that are at least 1 1/2″ to 2″ or larger. Thank you.
